I am Nanou, an illustrator, writer, and actor based in East London.

I draw everything by hand using a combination of pigment liner, Derwent Lightfast oil-based colour pencils, Caran D'Ache aquarelles, and glitter gel pens. I scan with a quality film scanner and print with Sustainable Print.

How commissions work

It is a point of pride that a face is recognisable from two dots and a squiggle. Send me many photos of favourite clothes and characteristic poses. Unpack the people you would like me to draw.

I will always offer you the chance to alter a pencil sketch, although some people prefer the element of surprise. Once I go on with pen and colour, there's no going back. This is an analogue process that can take 20+ hours.

Pricing and delivery

Pricing is time dependant. I work roughly at £25 per hour and include a high-res scan of the illustration for future prints.
I offer framing and London-based delivery.
